The Laser Manufacturing Laboratory (LiMG@HKUST), led by Prof. Mitch Guijun Li, develops laser-based digital manufacturing of functional materials and devices at the intersection of optics, materials, and fabrication. Our research spans laser additive manufacturing, flexible wearable electronics, smart sensing, energy, water treatment, and microrobotics — translating fundamental science into devices and, through the HKUST Shenzhen-Hong Kong Collaborative Innovation Research Institute (SHCIRI), into real-world demonstrations and startups.
